Frequently asked questions
What is Tidal Work?
A streaming library of therapeutic movement and pelvic-health practices from Cait Van Damm, OT — built for complex bodies. Whether you are experiencing chronic pain or illness, are pregnant or postpartum, are neurodivergent or live in a body that finds movement challenging — Tidal Work is for you.
Tidal Work is focused on the process of creating a communicative and responsive relationship with your body and finding autonomy within your movement choices. It's a safe place to explore therapeutic strength, flow work, specific therapeutic movement, restorative and somatic work.
The heart of Tidal Work is a weekly Open Practice, a space that focuses explicitly on developing movement autonomy.
All members receive access to the full and ever-expanding library. Fresh content arrives each week, and members are encouraged to request specific content.
For those who would like more, a Personalized Support tier is available — see Personalized Support below for more information.
Who is Cait and what are her qualifications?
Dr. Cait Van Damm, OTD, OT/L, RYT, is a licensed occupational therapist. She has been practicing in pelvic health for ten years, with an emphasis on supporting those with complex chronic pain.
Cait began her career as a therapeutic yoga teacher, and over the last fifteen years she has dedicated herself to learning and experimenting with different types of movement. She is movement agnostic and believes deeply that different things work for different bodies. Cait is committed to being a body-neutral teacher and to radically supporting members exactly as they are.
As a parent of twins, Cait is intimately acquainted with the challenges of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. She has also experienced multiple autoimmune diseases and the associated fatigue and emotional burnout from health challenges.
Cait developed Embodied Resilience, a transformational coaching strategy rooted in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, after years of treating clients with pelvic pain. To learn more about her continuing education and background, visit her about page.
