Foundations for everyone

This is where Tidal Work begins. Think of these practices as “required reading” — the foundational breath work, pelvic mobility, and whole-body basics that everything else in the library builds on.

You’ll also meet the ideas I come back to constantly, like Volume Knobs: every movement exists on a spectrum, and you have the capacity to shift the volume up or down. No flexibility prerequisites, no fitness test — this is movement for every body, exactly as you are.

Common questions

Where should I start?

Anywhere that looks interesting! If you want a suggestion, the pelvic mobility sequences and the Volume Knobs video are the ones I point everyone toward first — they teach the language the rest of the library speaks. Take what you like and leave the rest.

Do I need equipment?

Many practices use little to none. When a video calls for props, common household stand-ins work — a stack of books for blocks, a towel for a strap. Each video lists what you’ll need before you press play.
